Job Description The Medical Marijuana Supervisor is responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing a team of 20 or more dispensary employees.
The position is responsible for assisting with the retail operations of the dispensary while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
You will work directly with the other Supervisors, Inventory Manager, and General Manager to ensure the building is safely operating at all times.
The scope of this position includes all opening and closing responsibilities as well as day-to-day floor operations.
Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions) The procedure for hiring a supervisor revolves around a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, qualitative and quantitative skills, and the following attributes:
Organizational and documentation skills The leadership of Retail employees Manage store operations in the absence of General Manager and Assistant General Manager, including daily activities, ringing out customers, floor greeting, maintenance, training, and customer complaints while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal inspection, billing, or licensing requirements.
May be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time.
This may include scheduling issues and potentially covering a vacant shift.
Knowledge of the strains we carry, their effects on the human body, contraindications, customer education, etc.
Ability to use Microsoft Office products, email, and other software applications such as the seed-to-sale tracking software Monitoring cash, performing drops, closing drawers, voiding transactions, processing returns, and applying employee discounts.
Conducting weekly dry goods and accessory audits and communicating needs to General Manager or Inventory Manager Monitoring sales by Retail Associates for accurate weights and proper products Inspire staff to constantly bring the best possible service to our guests Oversee cleaning schedule and coordinate general maintenance needs Employee development and productivity liaison (Assessing employee knowledge and comfort in role.
Picking up on potential issues and relaying them to management.
Overseeing staff breaks, shift cuts, delegating side work, and closing tasks Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age Two or more years of retail experience Metrc experience preferred Open availability Retail supervisor preferred Associate degree preferred Skilled in Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite Strong knowledge of retail technology platforms and systems Must possess strong analytical skills to assess data, facts, and figures used to develop strategies designed to improve the business Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in written format Communication Proficiency Excellent Time Management.
